Whether it’s horse racing, athletics or AFL, I have the ability to be verstile and be able to capture the moment. I am capable of using diverse techniques to enhance my language and knowledge of what sport I'm calling for an audience in any field of sport. I provide a real-time commentary of a game or event and ensuring that I have additional information, inside knowledge, and commentary about current events.
Horse racing
Race calling is regarded as one of the hardest roles in broadcasting and a race caller is a sportscaster who describes the progress of a race, either for on-track or radio and TV fans. I have called multiple picnic races and trial meetings for Racing.com at Benalla, Colac, Traralgon, Cranbourne, Pakenham and Warrnambool and Yea. This involves announcements on the course P.A, radio, and television. Providing high quality race calls as well as pre-and post-race analysis for live broadcasts. Assistance in the preparation of pre-race form comments and race/trial previews & reviews for audiences. I have been extremely fortunate to have Greg Miles AO and Matthew Hill, two esteemed race callers as my mentors.
